A look at the Goya 2016

Hi again,

One of my hobbies after any Gala Awards such as the Goya in Spain, and soon the Oscar, is to check all looks of actresses and actors at social networks. You can not deny  this is one of the things we like the most after these Galas! The truth is these Awards  should be about movies and not fashion, but like it or not, there is always a link between fashion and cinema.

In any case it is a good opportunity for everyone: actors, actresses and politicians to show off and I think they enjoy.

This year the level at the Goya has been very high, congratulations to all of them!. With few exceptions, most of the outfits have been great. Not only dresses, the jewelry worn by some of our actresses were amazing, we also saw a septum and ear cuffs.

Here I have made a small summary of my favorite looks and not so favorites . I hope you will like it.

Balmain: he arrived, he left

Hello, how is everything? Did you get anything from Balmain for H&M yesterday? I got a couple of pieces, and that was it! On the website,(when I managed to get in) there was almost nothing . Everything was finished in few hours! what a success !!! At least, I  got this black trousers and this bracelet.

I wanted to buy these earrings and this bracelet but it was impossible!!! too late!! Also  the website was collapsed the whole morning and I didn’t get access until 12!.

In some store was even worse, long queues and then people running and scrambling to get  some pieces. Check the video in this article, it was crazy!

Well, at least I got something, I can not complain. Now I can’t wait to see what I got.

It is not the first time that H&M works with well-known fashion designers, these collaborations started in 2004 with Monsieur Karl Lagerfeld, here the list of previous collaborations with designers:

  • 2004: Karl Lagerfeld
  • 2005: Stella McCartney, Elio Fiorucci, Solange Azagury-Partridge
  • 2006: Viktor & Rolf
  • 2007: Roberto Cavalli
  • 2008: Rei Kawakubo and Comme des Garçons
  • 2009: Matthew Williamson, Jimmy Choo, Sonia Rykiel
  • 2010: Sonia Rykiel, Lanvin
  • 2011: Versace
  • 2012: Versace, Marni, Maison Martin Margiela
  • 2013: Isabel Marant
  • 2014: Alexander Wang

And here I show you some of my acquisitions over the years:

Roberto Cavalli. My first purchase was this Roberto Cavalli dress, I have a lot of affection for it. Still it’s in my closet and I wear it  occasionally. This picture is from this summer.

Matthew Williamson. Everybody likes this dress, one of the best investment I made! I bought it in 2009 and it’s still in perfect conditions.

IMG_6393 IMG_6431

Jimmy Choo. After long hours of queuing I only managed to buy this bracelet 😦 but after a few weeks I found this dress in the  H&M Edinburgh, what a nice surprise!

Lanvin. The last time I was wearing it in a wedding a year ago,  I keep it for special occasions

Versace. The truth is that this dress fits like a glove! Perfect for any summer night.

Alexander Wang. Top and leggings for the gym

And now Balmain, no dresses this time, anyway we will see how the look that trousers !!!

So, these are my little treasures.

And you, did you manage to buy anything? did you spend long time queuing or in front of  the computer? Tell us your experience.

See you next week, have a very good weekend! and thanks for reading

My Latest Fashion News

Here I am. Today I’m sharing just four press news about trends that I discovered this week and right now you can get them online. Have a look:

  • Claudia Schiffer is back but this time not as a model but as designer. Claudia has created new pieces for the brand TSE; cashmere pieces that include dresses, pulls, trousers…they are traditional pieces but Claudia have given them a look a bit more modern and intertemporal.

I specially like this sweater that she is wearing for the advertising campaign.

  •  Big news! Alexander Wang re-releases 10 of his best pieces. Why? To celebrate the 10th anniversary of being on business. What a great idea! Stay alert because one of these fantastic pieces can be yours now.

1_jpg_5099_north_499x_white 2_jpg_6302_north_499x_white4_jpg_815_north_499x_white

I have a predilection for this dress.

  • Probably you already know Olympia le-TAM for her famous book-clutch that most celebrities have. Now she is back with a new collection inspired on Disney. Dumbo, Bambi, Lady and the Tramp, the Aristocats, and 101 Dalmations…. all can be yours on a bag!. Her top pick and, mine as well, Dumbo’s head on the round Dizzie bag.

  • Star Wars is back and I’m not talking about the movie, many designers have been trapped by Star Wars. Rodarte and Preen did already for last fall, so who is the last victim? Alvarno, look at his collection in the Mercedes-Benz Fashion week in Madrid.

Thanks for being there and see you soon!

Summer concert in Sete

Yesterday I was one of the lucky ones to be in the first concert at Fiest’A Sete.

sete-2 sete-3

The French-Cuban-Venezuelan duo, Ibeyi (it means “twins” in Yoruba language) started this festival transmitting their Spiritual Energy. Ibeyi combines electronic, soul, gospel and hip-hop, jazz and chants of their ancestors, all mix with powerful voices. Also in their lyrics they mix English with Yoruba (a Nigerian language) that they transported us to trance.

The night continued with Yael Naim, France-Israel singer. Her songs have a bit of jazz-folk influence, but for me it was amazing how easy she could change her voice from soft and delicate to rough and powerful.

She started quite but at the end of the night the whole audience stand up to dance with her, at same point she also left  the stage to dance with everybody shouting “leave me see your faces”.

I was a magic night, fantastic location: theatre de la mer (the theater of the sea), “almost” full moon night and amazing music. Even I almost forgot the pain of my feet; I was wearing the Zara Gladiator sandals for first time and they were so tied that they were cutting my blood circulation. What we do for fashion!!

It’s ok today I still can walk, don’t worry 😉

Anyway, you can see the video from last night in the webpage:

Looking for the next summer concert, and you? Are you going or did you go to any concert this summer?

Festival, festival, festival!

Who wants to go to Glastonbury Festival to get mud, rain and cold! Ok, maybe this year they got a bit of heat wave so it didn’t rain so much…, but still! I saw the photos and everybody was wearing coats, jackets and of course, wellingtons!!!!! Besides, it’s full of celebrities that they only want to catch all the media attention. Cara Delevingne, Poppy Delevingne, Alexa Chung, Suki Waterhouse, Kendall Jenner and sister! What’s her name again??? Ah! Kim Kardashian,  all of them were there.  Kim Kardashian with husband, helicopter, a pair of insanely high heels and a sex tape flag, the whole package! abaca_506746_004_jpg_4340_north_1160x_white  image les_meilleurs_looks_du_festival_de_glastonbury_2015_3608.jpeg_north_499x_white image2 You can find more photos here: https://instagram.com/explore/tags/glastonbury/ http://www.vogue.co.uk/spy/celebrity-photos/2015/06/29/glastonbury-festival-2015

Anyway, my point is: why to go to he mud when you can go to the sun, take your sandals and park your Wellies and stay away of celebrities that spoil the atmosphere of the music festivals.

Come to the south! South France offers a lot of alternative Festivals that I didn’t know until I moved here.

My Sonny Angels

“Sonny Angel is a cute boy with headgear. He doesn’t talk to you, but Sonny Angel makes you smile, makes you happy, makes your daily life bit more delightful. As your tiny friend, Sonny Angel is always by your side, to protect you, give you comfort, and make you smile… that is Sonny Angel’s mission”

I discovered Sonny Angel by accident when I was reading an interview to who?? ( I forgot) in a French fashion magazine (I don’t remember which one), it was long time ago! (2 years?). Well, the important thing is that person had a collection of Sonny Angel and I thought: “they are cute, I want them!! “. Then, one shopping afternoon (of course)…. Surprise, surprise….. I found them in a toy shop!!!! I bought two, one for a friend and one for me. And it’s a real surprise because you don’t know which one you are going to get until you open the package.

How many kinds?

There are 8 different Sonny Angel series in total. In addition, if you include previous limited editions series such as Crown series and the seasonal limited edition series, the total reaches over 300 dolls.

My first one was a limited edition for Christmas. Here it is!

And little wings on the back!!!!

And my second one, cute eh?

The first Sonny Angel was an 18cm (7”) wide-eyed doll introduced in March 2005. Soon after, a mini figure series was released, the “Animal Series 1” wearing animal headgear. By the way, Sonny Angel’s birthday is May 15th, 2004.

There are also secret figures, my sister got one, the little bee

One of my favorites: Valentine’s Day (Chocolate) Series 2015

This May was released a new series, here my new Angel 2015

In June a new collection will be release, Rabbit and Elephant are dressed up in marine blue of the beautiful underwater sea world.

And for this summer, suntanned Sonny Angel come wearing fun t-shirts with Hawaiian beach designs and cute matching caps!

My little collection so far….and it’s growing

What are you waiting for? Get yours!!

News from Cannes

I cannot wait until the end of this festival to share some of my favorites moments. It’s one of the most glamorous film festivals of the year and I’m following all the looks  every day. It’s hard to decide which look is my favorite, so many! and so good! Jane Fonda was spectacular in a Versace blue dress and she is 77! But so far Karlie Kloss is one of my favorites.

This is my photo selection from Cannes festival.

Inspiration: his maternal grandmother closet, her corsets in particular; once he made a bra for stuffed bear.

Fixation with stripes and navy tops.  As adolescent, he used to wear stripes tops because flea markets were in fashion and the tops were cheap. Then he got fascinated by the French Navy tops and its graphic style.

He collaborated in the design of costumes for many films: The City of Lost Children and The Fifth Element, and for filmmaker Pedro Almodóvar’s Bad Education (2004) and The Skin I Live In (2011).

He didn’t have formal fashion training. “I DIDN’T STUDY FASHION IN SCHOOL”

Glamour in Monaco

Last Saturday took place the 61st Rose Ball at the Sporting Monte-Carlo, in aid of the Princess Grace Foundation. For this year, Karl Lagerfeld re-created an Art Deco theme with Floral Decoration for the tables, and retro photos and a big mural with geometric floral figures were decorating the entrance of hall.

The absence of Charlène and Charlotte’s large dress generated a lot of different rumors and gossips at the Rose Ball but this is not important here, let’s check the  looks!!

Princess Caroline. Carolina chose a white silk dress signed by Karl Lagarfeld, also present at the event. Although the design was spectacular, the best was the tiara that she used as a necklace.

bailerosa10--a bailerosa9--a

Charlotte Casiraghi, wearing a dress from Chanel. I think this pink and black dress was no the best choice for her……it makes her look older but I like her hair and make up, anyway she is beautiful, doesn’t matter what she wears!

Beatrice Borromeo was spectacular with this  Giorgio Armani, Beatrice compatriot and close friend of the family. The future wife of Pierre Casiraghi also wore an amazing white gold and diamonds snake necklace.

Karl Lagerfeld as usual wearing black trousers, a black suit jacket and his trademark sunglasses.

Lily Allen, like a rose providing the evening’s musical entertainment.

I found few exhibitions in Paris that could be interesting, check this:
